MuscleFam ("we", "our", "the app") respects the privacy of our users. This privacy policy explains what information is collected when you use our app, how it is used, and how it is protected.
Name, email address, username, profile photo, age, and gender are collected for account creation and personalization purposes.
Step count, heart rate, active calories, sleep data, VO2 Max, workout history, distance, HRV, and SpO2 are read from Apple HealthKit only with your explicit permission. This data is used to generate your workout statistics and track your fitness progress.
For outdoor activities such as running and cycling, your location is used only during the activity and with your permission to display your route on a map.
Access to your photo library and camera is requested to add profile photos and workout photos. This access is only used for actions you initiate.
Workout records, exercise statistics, personal records, and progress data created within the app.
Posts, likes, comments, messages, follow relationships, and group memberships related to social features.
Collected data is used solely for the following purposes: creating and managing your account, calculating and displaying your workout statistics, tracking your fitness progress, providing social features (sharing, messaging, following), personalizing the app experience, and improving app performance.
Your data is stored on secure servers powered by Supabase infrastructure. All data transmission is protected with SSL/TLS encryption. HealthKit data is processed in compliance with Apple's security standards and is never shared with third parties.
Your profile information and workout records are also stored locally on your device.
Our app uses the following third-party services:
Apple HealthKit: To access your health and fitness data. HealthKit data is never used for advertising or data mining purposes and is not shared with third parties.
Google Sign-In: For account authentication. Google only processes your authentication credentials.
Apple Sign-In: For account authentication.
Supabase: As our data storage and authentication infrastructure.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for commercial purposes. Your data is only shared with the service providers listed above to the extent necessary for the operation of the service.
When you set your profile to "private", your workout data and activities are only visible to users you have approved.
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your data. When you delete your account, all your personal data is permanently removed from our servers. You can delete your account from the app settings.
MuscleFam is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect data from users under 13 years of age.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When significant changes are made, we will notify you through the app. You can always check the current policy on this page.
